4 out of 5 stars Not bad   August 19, 2008
I bought this item thinking it would be a good way to get some activity at the office. However, it didn't do well under the desk because I have long legs:( That is ok, though, because I did bring it home and it serves it's purpose here. You can really get a good workout on this little device. My only real complaint is that the tension loosens easily (oh, and it gets HOT. Let it cool before you grab it to add more tension haha I learned the hard way by ignoring the sticker).

In reality this little device is not meant to be the primary exercise for a healthy adult as some have apparently tried to make it. I have used it for well over a month now and while I will admit that there is definitely a change in muscle tone, it hasn't replaced my regular activities in any way, just replaced the lack of activity during TV and reading time (and for someone with shorter legs, this would be perfect for the office). I have definitely noticed an increase ease of mobility (I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and sitting for long periods used to be a bad thing).

All in all, it's worth the buy.

2 out of 5 stars No back straps   July 16, 2008
This exerciser is fine for the arms but I bought it for my mom to use after her stroke & her feet will not stay on the pedals. It really needs a back strap to hold her feet on. For a healthy person, it works fine.

It is a good daily warm-up and helps with my recovery. Good quality for the price.

1 out of 5 stars Useless   January 29, 2008

Bought this in an attempt to use for physical therapy after a knee surgery. Was traveling cross country so thought this would help keep me on track with my therapy. Unfortunately this is a useless piece of "equipment" the range of motion is negligable and even if you ratchet it down on it's greatest resistance setting it still offers no significant benefit. Sorry. Don't waste your money.
