Excellent book January 10, 2004 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I am new to the study of locksmithing. I have worked a lot with locks and have always wanted to learn more. I read this book from cover to cover and found it very informative. I felt it went into detail a little too much with specific models of locks and key cutters, but could be helpful. All in all though, I did learn a lot and would recommend this book to anyone who wants to get started in locksmithing.
A Pretty Decent Book August 23, 2000 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
I found "Locksmithing" to be a very good book for beginners and for pros. It gives information that I haven't found in other lock books. It's easy to understand. A lot of decent illustrations. I like it. I recommend it.
Rehash of instruction sheets from various manufacturers. August 21, 2000 5 out of 18 found this review helpful
Although it had its merits, this book was primarily a rehash of instruction manuals from various lock manufacturers. Upon receiving this title I was sorely disappointed. I would recommend a beginning locksmith or lock enthusiast look to another title first.
