Product Description Exercise bands are ideal for building upper and lower body strength for rehabilitation or fitness. Whether building strength after shoulder or knee surgery or improving athletic performance, our bands, tubing and corresponding resistance exercise programs can be easily and economically used for any exercise program. The progressive resistance of our products parallels the basic concepts of building strength and mobility. As each level is mastered, the resistance can be increased with ability. In general, tan and yellow are used for early rehabilitation or very frail individuals. The most common resistances are red, green & blue. Black, silver and gold are typically used by athletes. The use of elastic resistance rather than weight-bearing exercises minimizes pressure on the joints and decreases the possibility of incurring other injuries. They can be used while traveling, sitting at home or even in the office. Uses for the Thera-Band Bands include: exercise, gym, balance, fitness, birthing, yoga, pilates, and stability and resistance.

Exercise Machine That Is Not A Machine May 22, 2009 These bands are very convenient. One using them can avoid going to the gym and waiting to use those machines. They provide just the right amount of resistence for strength training. It is better to try some of the lighter bands at first. This way, an individual will be working for the best results. Works well for those in a wheelchair and for those with limited storage for equipment.
instructor March 8, 2009 Started an exercise class and noted people did not come with corrct equipment. Ordered bands by the yard (way cheaper than by each) Everyone was happy. Sad was I tried to go back to Amazon and buy from same company but stronger bands and could not locate.
Solid Product January 14, 2009 These are great. Just be aware that this is the bulk length so you have to cut your own loops and tie them yourself. I like that though because I can use different lengths for different types of workouts. The blue seems just right to complement my relatively tough strength workouts.

The bands are just fine, but what I was really pleased with was the customer service. The first set of bands was sent by US Mail and they never arrived. After I contacted Amazon, they put me in contact with the vendor and they express mailed another set. And, they e-mailed me to make sure it arrived.
