Product Description Expand-Your-Hand Bands are a superb tool for promoting hand health by developing muscle balance. A simple but effective tool, Expand-Your-Hand Bands are for just about everyone who uses their hands at work or at play: from tennis players to typists to truck drivers; grandmothers to golfers to grandmaster gripsters; computer programmers to construction workers to cops . . . you get the idea! If you have tennis elbow, arthritis, or nerve damage; or suffer from repetitive stress syndrome or carpal tunnel syndrome, the Expand-Your-Hand Bands are tailor-made for you. Just slip on an Expand-Your-Hand Band and extend your fingers outward against the resistance. Our sturdy bands are comfortable and long-lasting, and they come in five color-coded strengths for progressive training. Use lighter resistance for therapy, rehabilitation and flexibility work, and heavier resistance for building strength. Keep one set at work and the other at home. They're colorful, easy, and fun to use, and above all, they just plain work wonders.

A Quality Training Tool August 24, 2008 These are a great supplement for forearm training. They are not the main tool, but they are not intended to be that.
They do a good job of working the wrist extensors. They are very portable so one can take them anywhere for a workout. The package comes with five different strength bands. The smaller ones would be good for rehabilitating an injury. The others are equipped to increase one's wrist strength.
In addition to these I would highly recommend that anyone serious about improving his/her forearm strength get some Captains of Crush grippers in the appropriate resistance levels for the forearm flexors. In order to determine which ones to get, the reader can go to the Ironmind web site and read up on the various models. Another superb forearm strength training tool is the IVANKO Super Hand Gripper Hand Strength Forearm.
Highly recommended!
A healthy and cheap alternative! April 23, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm a definite fan of CoC products and the intended purpose of these bands. But bottom line is they are 'fancy' rubber bands (treated or not).
Do yourself a favor and buy some Asparagus or Broccoli from the grocery store and use the bands it comes wrapped in - they are thicker, coated and stronger than regular rubber bands.
I've graduated from two bands up to three... so you know they'll work!
They're rubber bands. May 27, 2007 5 out of 11 found this review helpful
They are rubber bands. Plain and simple. They are treated so it is claimed. I am sure that they will last longer due to that treatment, but why not just buy rubber bands at an office supply store and when they age or break, buy new ones? Certainly not worth the money.
an extraordinary product May 25, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have been using these bands for several months now and find that my tendency towards tendonitis has sharply diminished.
Great for increasing hand strength and flexibility September 22, 2005 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
Like Mr Sprouffske, I got these bands along with a Captains of Crush gripper. I figured that with the gripper I would be working my hand muscles a certain way and it would be great to have something to work them in the exact opposite direction for greater mobility and strength. Hence these bands.
They work great! A lot of people work on computers all day long. Our hand muscles and wrists get tired, over-worked, and cramped from that work all day long. Even if you exercise regularly, your hands and forearms are still not getting a focused workout. That's where Ironmind's products come in. I have the 'Trainer' gripper and these bands and have been using them for a little while now. I feel increased strength in my grip and my forearms.
I work out twice a week with these (usually on my two days off from gym workouts) and use both the gripper and these bands together for a comprehensive forearm and hand workout. Both these products are super convenient to pack on a trip out of town as well, since they are so compact. Whether you work out regularly with weights or not, you will benefit from these products as good gripping strength is fundamental to most everything we do. Plus it will, I suspect, keep you from getting painful arthritis as you grow older.
