For anyone looking for a replacement band for EA Sports: Active, keep in mind that the band the game comes with is about on par with Thera-Band's "Medium" (Red) rating. In all honesty, you should get either black or gold (hardest) bands, as the medium band isn't going to be terribly useful for most people. Basically, if it feels like the band exercises are way too easy, and you're coming here for a step up, go as high as you can, and worst-case, pick up the hardest and second-hardest bands.

If you're here because your band broke and are fine with the strength level of the band that came with, go red, it's nearly identical.

Don't waste your money. I bought the medium resistance band it should be called the NO RESISTANCE BAND.

i like the black thera band because it actually provides resistance. i used to use the other colors, but i never felt like my ankle was improving with them. with the black one i can feel my ankle working.

Stretch Bands October 5, 2009

Every swimmer should own a stretch band and should be doing rotator cuff shoulder exercises with it. At some point during your swim career you will probably develop at least shoulder discomfort. Shoulder exercises with a stretch band will help stop the discomfort. Do not swim through the pain as many coaches suggest - fix the problem!!!
