Can't tell you how many pairs of ankle weights I've had (at least 5). The hard bar insert weights bruised my ankles, the cloth filled with sand wore out very quickly. These conform nicely to my ankles and are very comfortable when worn over socks(plastic outer with inner pellets). The velcro could use some work (or perhaps I am unique), but the uncovered velcro sticks to my work out pants (spandex). Best buy for the money.

If one is in need of ankle weights to help strengthen the joints, tendens, ligaments, muscles of knees and hips, these weighted ankle straps are excellent. The product is not too wide, it is easy to strap on with the wide velcro attachment, easy to remove, and easy to store, as the velcro rolls up compactly and does not cling to other wieghts. It suits my purposes perfectly--in fact, I am going to also order the 4 and 5 pound weights (I have the 1-pound, 2-pound and 3-pound), for I will soon be ready for a heavier weight -- with 5-pounds my limit. It is a good, sturdy product.
