Keeps Kids afloat July 5, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought a two bubble and a three bubble float for my kids ages 1 1/2 and 3. I bought them because they are the models that the kids use at their swim lessons at the local YMCA, and I wanted consistency in ther learning to swim in the lake near our house.
Arm "swimmies" or "muscles" didn't work well for our kids learning to swim. These bubble floats keep the kids afloat, and don't realy get in the way of swimming.
Need to attend to the kids due to the fact that they tend to push the kids forward (into swimming position). Until they learn to paddle well, they will get facefulls of water. Using a noodle or floating barbell lets the kids kick around self-sufficient.
Definietely not a lifesaving device- good for swim training, but I have not compared it to other similar devices. My choice was based strictly on the fact that it was the same brand as what our YMCA uses, and it worked adequately for our kids there.
