Amazon.com As the daylight lingers longer each day, the more carnivorous folk start salivating in anticipation. Barbecue season approaches, liberating meat lovers from the less-flavorful pan-fried steak or bland poached chicken breasts. Likewise, the vegetarians in the family rejoice in the prospect of grilled summer squash or roasted beets and corn, rather than settling for another head of iceberg lettuce and canned beans. For juicy burgers and veggie kabobs at home or at the lake, industry leader Weber offers their portable Q-100 gas grill. The propane grill employs an 8,500-BTU stainless-steel burner to heat its 189-square-inch cooking area. Weber crafted the grill's lid and body in tough cast aluminum with a sturdy glass-reinforced nylon frame. The grill ignites at the push of a button for reliable lighting, and an infinitely adjustable burner valve with a high-quality regulator makes it easy to control the heat. Meat sizzles on the porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates, while drippings follow the drip ducts to reduce potential flare-ups and enable quicker cleaning. Other highlights include a flavorizer system integrated into the cooking grate, a removable catch pan, and a large weather-resistant lid handle. The grill operates on a standard 14.1- or 16.4-ounce propane cylinder. Propane does not come included, but Weber does enclose a Weber Q cookbook of recipes and inspiration. The grill measures 16 by 27 by 23-1/2 inches with the lid open and carries a five-year limited warranty. --Jessica Reuling

GREAT PORTABLE GRILL!! August 14, 2008 I JUST RETURNED FROM A 5 DAY CAMPING TRIP IN OUR MOTORHOME. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD A CHANCE TO USE OUR NEW WEBER 100 GRILL. WOW! WHAT A SURPRISE. I COOKED ON IT EVERY NIGHT. IT WAS EASY TO SET UP, FIRED RIGHT UP,AND COOKED THE MEAT JUST RIGHT. IT IS EASY TO CLEAN. I BOUGHT THE FOLDING CART FOR THIS MODEL. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT ALSO. IT WAS EASY TO SET UP AND TAKE DOWN FOR STORAGE. IN WALKING THROUGH OUR LAST RV PARK I NOTICED SEVERAL WEBER GRILLS LIKE THIS ONE. IT'S A GREAT LITTLE GRILL FOR YOUR RV! IT DOES A BETTER JOB THAN MY LARGE ONE AT HOME! DICK DEHN LIVINGSTON, MONTANA
Greatest grill ever ! August 2, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This grill is fantastic. I use it all the time and never use my old, larger gas grill or charcoal grill anymore. I bought a 3' adapter hose so I could run it off my propane tank, and it never seems to runs out of gas - it's so effecient. I love how quickly it heats up and how it sears my steaks. I also bought the folding cart and I take it to tailgates and love it ! I kid my wife and say I love my Weber almost as much as you. haha
An Expensive Mistake July 29, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Shame on me for not realizing manufacturers are no longer making lava rock grills when it was time to replace my table top gas grill.
Thinking this grill would be a nice replacement for an old, inexpensive grill I bought this Weber, it is heavy duty and well made, alas no lava rocks and no grilled flavor. Weber recommends using one of the drip pans filled with wood chips on the cooking grate to get smoked flavor, but be aware this uses nearly half of the cooking grate, and most people looking for smoked flavor use smokers.
Clearly, the grill is thoughtfully designed, and again, well made. But if you are looking for grilled flavor, I would not recommend buying this grill. And if you currently have a gas grill that uses lava rocks or ceramic tiles, baby it, because you can't just go out and buy a new one.
Won't start and customer service is no help July 19, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
What a disappointment! I'm sure if this worked it would be nice, but despite the fact that the ignition sparks and I've tried several different gas cannisters, the grill won't light.
I've called and e-mailed Weber customer service and they have been unhelpful to say the least. The last rep I talked to offered to send me a new regulator for me to install -- on a brand-new grill I bought 3 weeks ago! Needless to say, it's going back.
My advice -- go for the Coleman, or else buy it locally where you can bring it in for someone to fix for you when it doesn't work.
great grill and compact July 14, 2008 Gave as gift adn have had recipient in delight feed me twice off it in two weeks. Very easy to use, stable heat and even across area, making its small size equivalent of ordinary larger grills. Seems to be a nice combination of traditional hibachi design with some good engineering.
When my larger, much more expensive grill dies, I'll replace it with one of these, simply reworking the old one's fancy cart to be a nice stand for this grill or one of it's slightly larger cousins.
A plus is that we're doing joint cushy-camping trip with recipient and will have the Q-100 with us. A real hit.
Get a gas hose w/adapter and use it off a proper propane cylinder at home.
