3 out of 5 stars Beads break   May 15, 2007

I bought this rope for my 7-year-old son who has taken a recent interest in jump roping. The rope is adjustable, although there are no instructions for how to adjust it - I had to figure it out for myself. He has been using it frequently for a week or two, and the beads are constantly breaking off. The red ones went first, but now the black ones are starting to break. It's a nice rope with good handles, but the beads need to be made from a more durable plastic.

4 out of 5 stars A little too long and light   January 19, 2007

I'm 6'1'' and this jump rope was too long for me to use. It was easily shortened by popping off the end cap on one handle, removing a few beads, then cutting and re-knotting the rope. My only complaint is that it's a little too light for me. If the beads were a little heavier, it would be perfect. It does seem well made, and well worth the price.

1 out of 5 stars Not this jump rope   January 14, 2007
The black beads are prone to break (oddly, not the red ones). At about six weeks the rope frayed at one of the handles and beads went flying. I do prefer jump ropes with beads, but this model failed me.
