Product Description ABOUT Stretch Out Straps: *Everyone knows the benefits of stretching out both before and after your workouts. *This 72" long (6') strap with 10 loops built in for hand or foot placement, is great for all sizes, even the taller athlete. *Stretch out strap is latex free. *Includes handy informative booklet containing different exercises, including before and after workout stretches in an easy to reference format.Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) is a more advanced form of flexibility training that involves both the stretching and contraction of the muscle group being targeted. PNF stretching was originally developed as a form of rehabilitation, and to that effect it is very effective. It is also excellent for targeting specific muscle groups, and as well as increasing flexibility, (and range of movement) it also improves muscular strength.

Physical Therapy Stretch Strap September 1, 2008 This strap is the same or very similar to what I used in physical therapy and works much better that an old belt as suggested by the physical therapist. I have not read the Booklet yet as I purchased the strap to continue a specific therapy at home.

I use these at physical therapy, and when I got home tried using a towel, but my hands hurt from trying to hold onto the towel for so long. The multiple loops make it easier because I can just hook my hands through them instead of trying to hold on. The only downfall is that sometimes it's a little uncomfortable on bare feet (depending on where the seams are on my foot).
Useful but takes time to get used to August 5, 2008 The strap is useful in getting extreme stretches out of it, especially for the hamstring. I had a tough time stretching the other leg muscles (glutes, quad, thigh) using the strap and finally resorted in not using it. But I still use it for the hams since I never got a better stretch without it. I would recommend to get the poster instead of the book since it is cumbersome to get through the book every time you stretch.
Review of Stretch Out Strap April 7, 2008 Excellent, simple "tool" for stretching. Booklet is helpful to learn many ways of using the strap.
Great tool December 17, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great item to add to your exercise collection. It assists you in properly stretching muscles you would otherwise have trouble stretching. I use one in physical therapy and ordered one to use at home since I liked it so much.
