For daily beard maintenance or for making a big change to facial hair, Wahl's Groomsman trimmer is the device you need. The Groomsman's high-carbon steel blades are precision-ground to provide a close cut and stay sharp longer. A six-position beard regulator easily attaches to the trimmer's head to provide consistent and safe tapering and trimming of beards and mustaches. The six positions range from a height that tackles longer hairs, (for example, if you are shaving off your beard) all the way down to a short height for trimming daily stubble. For convenience, the beard regulator remembers the last set length height until you change it. For additional comfort during shaving, the Groomsman has a contoured ergonomic handle with soft gripping pads for a secure grasp. The Groomsman operates either plugged in via its electric charger, or runs on its long-lasting nickel-cadmium battery which is estimated to last three to five years before needing replacement. The trimmer and charger are small enough to stash in the included pouch for travel along with the accessories--the beard regulator, the jaw line blender, two close-trim attachments, a mustache comb, cleaning oil, and a cleaning brush. This product is just excellent. quality is really good ,although the attachments can be better. This is the best deal for the price.
I like it and I would buy it again.
 Worked for about a year then battery died November 12, 2008
I was disappointed with this trimmer at first--it seemed cheaply built. It worked fine though for about a year, with weekly or bi-monthly use. After a year, the battery died. It still works when plugged in.

I'd like to warn buyers about false information published on this Web page. Instead of "MADE IN THE USA" you must read "MADE IN CHINA"!!!
It is really Chinese trimmer - cheap and unreliable. So beware!
Great trimmer - does the job! October 23, 2008
I have seen several mediocre or negative reviews. I do not understand. This thing does a very good job. Holds a charge for a very long time and the attachments are pretty easy to get on and off. So I am not sure what people have to complain about. It is also a good weight in the hand - does not feel like a cheap piece of plastic.
Not just a beard trimmer - complements a full size clipper October 22, 2008
I use mine to trim around the ears and to achieve the nice lines in the back when doing a buzz cut. I wish the battery is lithium and replaceable. I can see that the charge does not hold when kept charged after each use. Other than that, it works fine. The lighter weight gives better control especially for children's haircut. Sorry, no beard or mustaches in our household. But for hair, it's great.
