4 out of 5 stars Get A Grip   January 6, 2009
The item was shipped quickly without problems and worked well. However, the item was pictured in white and blue and the item shipped was silver and black. Therefore, I requested an exchange and they replied that they did not have it in the color pictured and that I could return it. I found this very misleading.

1 out of 5 stars Unsafe for elderly   December 8, 2008

I purchased this product for the safety of myself and my 85 year old mother. Fortunately, I used it first as an aid to balance. It comes off the shower wall with absolute minimal effort. My mother would have needed to use it with more force. Had she done so, there would definitely have been an accident. If you really need bars for safety, have them installed.

2 out of 5 stars Size of tiles important   November 25, 2008

The size of your shower/bathtub tiles are important. If one of the cups is not over a tile groove, the other needs to be groove free also. Otherwise you have only one suction cup holding it.

1 out of 5 stars Phony Advertisement   November 23, 2008

The advertisement for this product is untrue. One ad shows a man using these safety bars like a ladder as he climbs up a boat. Yet, the warning inside the box exposes the real truth. They cannot support 5 lbs. of pressure let alone one's total weight. I purchased the extra duty ones because the ad said they possessed greater suction power. This, too, is untrue. They would not stick to anything no matter how hard I pushed or cleaned the surface. Amazon.com should bear some of the burden and refund the money spent on this site for this cheap, unsafe product.
