Product Description
The P2 keeps the best features of the goLITE The P2 is ideal for those on the go, who may not have time to plug in their light, work the night shift, or travel frequently.Forgot to charge your P2? No problem, the P2 works with the adapter as well. Worldwide use: P2 automatically switches from 110 to 240 volts, so you can prevent jet lag or receive light therapy anywhere in the world. Why is BLUEWAVE so effective?Since the discovery of light therapy 20 years ago, researchers have been trying to uncover why it works. Recently science has discovered that this reaction is through photoreceptors in our eyes called melanopsin, and melanopsin respond to a very specific band of 470 nm (light blue light). 2 X More than 10,000 lux or White LEDsWhen this specific bandwidth of light is isolated, it produces 2 times the melatonin suppression and circadian shift of white full spectrum and white LED light. This is true despite the fact that the LED and fluorescent white light sources produce substantially higher amounts of blue light. Because BLUEWAVE provides only the effective bandwidth of light, it can provide light therapy while being 1/25th as bright! BLUEWAVETM THE MOST EFFECTIVE TECHNOLOGY BLUEWAVETM VS. FULL-SPECTRUM (10,000 lux) The specific bandwidth of light that is responsible for treating Seasonal Affective Disorder and related circadian rhythm disorders ranges from 446 477 nm (nanometers), and is up to 5 times more effective than other wavelengths. This spectral graph shows that only Apollos patented BLUEWAVETM technology precisely matches this specific bandwidth. BLUEWAVE LED technology produces the same amount of effective light as natural sunlight, while 10,000-lux full-spectrum produces less than 40%. Because BLUEWAVE produces 100% of the necessary bandwidth, it elicits a stronger and quicker response. Clinical trials have shown BLUEWAVE LED technology to be effective in treating Seasonal Affective Disorder.

I've had this light for about two years, and it works really well for me. It's a nice size (not too large, but effective), it travels well when needed, and it's durable. I use it for 20-30 minutes per day in winter. The timer feature is very nice.
