Good deal July 27, 2008 These aren't the longest lasting batteries on the shelf, but given the price they are more than worth the money spent.
We go through quite a few batteries at work, and these have saved us quite a bit of money over longer-lasting, but considerably more expensive brands.
affordable with average life June 24, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
well-packaged. low price and life is on par with other brands. no issues after using them with multiple devices.
Great Deal!!! December 31, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great product for a great price. Much cheaper here than anywhere else!
very good in my book !!! December 14, 2007 Maxell makes a great battery although they aren't quite the best I've ever used; but these batteries will nevertheless show you how good they are made once you try them. I really like this because I often travel by public transportation and I use my portable CD player to listen to music. I always get a lot of use out of these Maxell AA batteries.
Of course, these AA batteries can be used in anything that requires them--not just portable CD players. The pack of forty offers value, too; and that's important in these expensive times!
Use these batteries before their expiration date. The expiration date will always be several years into the future; but some people still have them lying around in a dresser drawer anyway. The problem is not only do they lose their potency; the batteries also begin to corrode. When the batteries corrode eventually a whitish powdery sticky substance begins to leak out of them and this makes a mess--trust me!
Do NOT dispose of these or ever place these in or near a fire. They could indeed explode. I wouldn't carry them loose either--they should be protected in their cardboard case or they should be already installed in your portable CD player, your flashlight or whatever device you placed them into.
Overall, these Maxell AA size batteries are one of the better choices if you need AA size batteries. I recommend them for any device that needs AA size batteries.
excellent buy October 20, 2007 excellent buy! got this same product last year. still have six left. used for grandkids toys, etc and flashlights.
