 Lower FBG and a great value! January 19, 2008

I've been taking this product for a little over a month now, and I can say that I have been seeing much lower numbers for my fasting blood glucose. They used to run in the high 1-teens or higher and I frequently have numbers now that are under 100. Unbelievable! I am a type 2 diabetic and control my diabetes only through diet, exercise and supplements. I really feel like this is doing well for me and just got my pre-diabetic husband to take his first dose tonight (which is why I'm online ordering more!) Definitely try this, it's been helping me...I'm actually looking forward to my next HgA1C!!

After reading some of Dr. Perricone's books I decided to add alpha lipoic acid to my daily routine. He recommended taking between 50-100Mg per day, so I chose these 100mg capsules. As far as pills go, they are reasonably sized and have a smooth coating so they wash down pretty easy (which is something I always take into account).
They are supposed to help your body metabolize sugar and be an antioxidant that is both fat and water soluable to give your body more benefit than E or C can provide alone. They are also supposed to promote the repair damaged collegen to lessen scars and prevent any further scarring.
I am by no means a nutrition expert and I started taking these about the same time I overhauled my entire diet to go on Dr. Perricone's plan so I can't say for sure that the changes I have noticed in my appearance and energy levels are because of these pills specifically, but something is sure working!
I any case, I see no problems with these pills and due to the improvements in the way I feel as a whole I will continue to use alpha lipoic acid. I don't know if the brand really matters, I chose this one because it was on sale and therefore the cheapest. Overall this seems to be a good product, but as with anything it is up to the individual to decide what is best for their lifestyle.
