 Accurate digital scale October 25, 2008
I have purchased numerous bathroom scales from analog to 'medical scales'. This scale has been the most precise scale with regards to weight (reproducibility of measurements) and most accurate (corresponding to the conventional medical scale at the hospital).
This assesses body fat by impedance however, I do question the accuracy of this technology. The most accurate methods have been the Bod Pod and hydrostatic weighing with fat calipers being a distant 3rd.
There are two ways to operate this scale 1) quick measure 2) pushing one of the four profile buttons in the front. The quick measurement requires a tap before the unit is initialized. Then when it is at zero, it is ready. With the Profiles, it tracks your weight from one date to the next and gives you a plus or minus weight gain or weight loss since your last measurement.
It has a solid construction and good stability which contributes to its accuracy and precision.
LIMITATIONS:
Slight latency for initialization
Inaccurate Body Fat analysis
CONCLUSION:
Excellent method of assessing your weight. I highly recommend this item.
 Waste of Money July 25, 2008
Quit working after 2 months. Changed batteries, very sporatic display. No troubleshooting available in the instructions or on line. Thumbs down.

I purchased this scale about a year ago. I have weighed myself daily on it and it has been very accurate (compared to the weight at my doctors office) and consistent. I am very surprised at how many people are having difficulty with the scale.

This scale is not consistent. I bought this at walmart, then after using it for a week, i realized that within the span of a few minutes i would get about four different bodyfat and weight measurements. So I decided to check the amazon reviews to see if maybe I had a defective scale, or this was a common problem. The only reason why I decided to give it two starts is because, the features that it has are cool, for the price (39.99 at
Walmart), (weight tracking for 4 users, body fat measurements, etc.). But only if they worked...

The function of this scale is good, but the display is not easy to read from a distance, so I sometimes have to sit down to read the weight.
