 Very nice razor, close shave November 30, 2008
I read a lot of reviews on electric razors and compared on paper the Norelco, Panasonic, and Braun. My top criteria were closeness of shave and price, although I liked the fact that the Panasonic was a wet shaver as well.
I received the product quickly after purchasing on Amazon. The price was very good since there was a $[...] Panasonic rebate offered at the time. The razor works as described. I use it with shaving cream and I get a fairly close shave, almost as close as the Gillette V mach fusion razor which I was using prior. The only exception is the neck area, which I have to go over with the Gillete.
Overall this is an excellent razor and I have no regrets in the purchase.

Like all other Panasonic products I own, this razor is of the utmost
quality. It gives a smooth quality shave. I suggest it to any
man that has been bothered with ingrown whiskers or left behind

Just a footnote November 24, 2008
245 reviews? Well then, I will make mine short. This is the very first electric shaver I have used that shaves as close as a blade (Gillete Mach x). I really did not believe it was possible for an electric to shave me this close. For medical reasons, I had to stop using a blade, and the old Braun shaver I owned just gave me raw skin.
This Panasonic I have only used for two weeks now, and with the wet shave feature, I get it done in about 5 minutes, and as close as a double or triple edged razor. Obviously, everyone's experience will vary. I have difficult facial hair. Curly hair. Every previous electric shaver that I have ever tried (Norelco, Braun) would not give me a close shave on the neck area, under my chin and jaws. This Panasonic is the first electric I have used that is satisfactory. And without making my skin raw.
I have not yet made use of the cleaning station. This review only applies to the shaver itself. Highly recommended for those men who have difficult beards and are looking for an electric that just might do the job.
 Not worth November 21, 2008
Shaving is average. After 4 months, the fan in the base started doing a weird noise. Sent it back for service (still under warranty). It took almost 2 months to get it back. The same problem persists. I gave up on Panasonic...is not worth
Good Shave for an Electric November 6, 2008
I'm a blade man but I needed an electric while recovering from shoulder surgery on my good arm.
I will also use the razor when traveling since this is simpler for me.
I liked this razor a lot. Pretty good shave for an electric. I'd never swith to an electric permanantly but this is a nice option.
What I like:
Good shave but takes some time.
Holds charge for a long time.
Nice trimmer (I will use this even when I go back to my blade).
Easy to clean.
Works well wet or dry (but not damp).
What I don't like:
Not too loud but high pitched.
Kind of big and clunky.
Takes a while to get a really close shave.
All in all pretty good.
