This is the adapter for the automatic lid opening trashcan. Bought this as a backup in case batteries go dead and don't have any on hand.

When I got the oo so terrific trash can, I also added this adaptor item, thinking that it would be useful to have. When it arrived, I went all over the trash can trying to find where it fit. It doesn't. The trash can runs on batteries. My question remains: why does this product exist and is shown with the battery only operated unit. go figure!

Really why did I buy this? Does anyone really want to plug in a garbage can? What was I thinking! I think this is a waste of money. The unit uses batteries!
