 PVI Ramp (rating for ramp only - shipping daamge was an issue) October 2, 2007
I purchased the 4 and 5 (SL430, SL530) foot length of this ramp. This is an excellent ramp. Good design, and very well built. Safe, semi-permanent installation may require some drilling for the supplied safety pins. You should check the manufacturer's web site (search for "pviramps") for recommendations on proper ramp length for various step heights to achieve a safe installation. The ramp is not green as shown in the picture (as of Oct 2007). It is aluminum with black anti-slip covering.
Shipping was a problem. One ramp came with minor dent and I elected to keep it. Heavier ramp came with a serious bend in top threshold lip. The replacement ramp was damaged in a similar manner and the side lip was bent. The second replacement ramp arrived with the top threshold in good shape and minor dent on the side lip near the bottom. I elected to keep it. It seems to me that the shipping packaging is not as well thought out as the ramp. The even heaver muilt-fold ramp from PVI comes packed with an cardboard sleeve around the end of the ramp that provides some extra protection.
I contacted PVI. They were aware of the shipping problems with the heaver ramps and say they are working on fixing the problem.
Amazon made it very easy to return the damaged ramp and was always helpful, even cheerful, in handling this. Prime shipping was a great deal for heavy items, like these ramps!
So 5 stars for the ramp itself, 2 stars for shipping container, 5 stars for Amazon's handling damaged item.

The picture shows the side rails much lower than they acctually are. I was quite dissapointed to find that I cannot leave the ramp down because my door will not pass over the top of the side rails.
