You have a bad back? Now you have no more excuses not to exercise! Warranty Frame & Brake: Lifetime Parts & Electronics: 3 Years Labor: 1 Year

Amazon.com Product Description
Sit in the lap of luxury while riding your way to fitness with the Diamondback 900Sr recumbent exercise bike. The 900Sr--which includes many of the most sought-after features on the market--is equipped with an efficient eddy current brake system that provides up to 16 levels of resistance. As a result, it's easy to find the perfect resistance level for your needs, whether you want to warm up before hitting the weights or challenge yourself with a serious cardio burn. The ergonomic seat, meanwhile, teams with an adjustable mesh seatback with lumbar support to create whole new levels of stability and comfort. Add in the easygoing step-thru frame, which is ideal for people who are rehabbing from injury or who find traditional upright bikes uncomfortable, and you have a terrific workout accessory for the home.

The 900Sr's integrated console helps track your workout progress.

The bike includes a mesh seatback with lumbar support.

The 900Sr offers plenty of workout flexibility, with an easy-to-read console that supports several different program types, including manual, random, fat-burning intervals, glute max hill climb, fitness test, strength, target heart rate, heart rate intervals, and custom trainer. The latter program is particularly valuable over the long term, as it lets you vary your workout depending on your mood. This not only keeps your attitude fresh, but it also makes your overall training regimen more efficient by challenging your body in different ways. It's also a breeze to track your workout progress thanks to the blue backlit LCD, which displays your time, pulse, calories, intensity level, RPM, speed, distance, and watts. And no workout is complete without a little motivational music, with is why the 900Sr comes with a plug-in jack for your MP3 player. Once you're plugged in, you can listen to your favorite playlists and tune out the rest of the world as you cycle through the imaginary hillsides.

Other features include contact pulse sensors in the handgrips for reading your heart rate, a Polar-compatible wireless heart rate receiver, an accessory holder on the console for magazines or books, a built-in Smart Fan, and a weight capacity of 300 pounds. The 900Sr measures 62 by 43.3 by 27.5 inches (W x H x D), weighs 126 pounds, and carries the following warranties: limited lifetime on the frame and brake, three years on parts and electronics, and one year on labor.

3 out of 5 stars DB Fitness 900sr Could Be Better   April 9, 2010
DB 900SR
The so-called fans on the unit are a joke. They serve no purpose. They wouldn't move a fly. The seat rattles when a fast pace is attempted. Surely the manufacturer tested this before they put it on the market. If I could do over (hassle free) I would buy a better unit.

2 out of 5 stars Not as we had expected   March 30, 2010
Robyn Rajkovich (San Francisco, CA)
After reading the comments and reviews, we purchased the Diamonback 900SR Recumbent Bike and were quickly disappointed. Unfortunately, our knees hit the handlebars so you have to ride with your knees pointing out - not very comfortable! Additionally, the fan is a joke. It would have been a nice added feature but it's very weak. We contacted Diamonback directly and were told there is no resolution for our knees hitting the handlebars. We looked into purchasing an extension piece for the bar but that is not available either. Therefore, we are left with yet another exercise bike which is unappealing to use. Very frustrating!!! We wish we would have known this prior to purchase.

4 out of 5 stars Great bike and workout. Issue with a knocking noise sometimes.   March 16, 2010
Easy Rider (Chicago)
I purcheased this exercise bike just over a week ago and over all I really like this bike. I bought it from Chicago Home Fitness who is and authorized dealer and they even matched a internet price that I found on Ebay for $529.00 out the door.

Setting the bike up took me about 1 1/2 hours and the only real issue that I had was one of the bolts that support the back part of the seat to the frame would not attach. I need to go pick up a new one. Other then that, It was pretty easy and I did it by myself. Could have used a little help with getting the unit out of the box.
Once setup, I took it for a test drive and got in a good 20 min workout on the manual setting mode. No problems what so ever. Smooth, quite, and plenty resistance and I only went to lever 8 of the 16 levels available. The next time I worked out I decided to use the "interval" mode which will automatically adjust the resistance between level 3 up to level 10 if you do not change it. This is fine, but I noticed that when it went up to lever 10 from level 3, I was getting a knocking noise coming from the right side of the flywell assembly. And it gets pretty annoying. This would only happen on the right side. If I manually brought the resistance back down to 1 and then bring it back up, it does not seem to make the knocking noise. Now what is really weird is that when my wife worked out on the bike and did the interval mode, it did not make the knocking noise. It seems to happen only when I work out. Weird.

So what I do is just use the manual mode and adjust the resistance myself. I have yet to try any other mode, but will do so in the next few days.

Over all, I really do enjoy the bike. It gives you a great workout with plenty of resistance. Smooth and quite ( except for me in interval mode ) and at the price I was able to pick it up for. A real no brainer.

Hope this review helps. And if someone else has had a similar issue with the knocking, please let me know.

1 out of 5 stars No customer support from Diamondback   February 21, 2010

Reading reviews gave me a decent idea about satisfaction ratings with various exercise bikes, so I had felt confident in buying on-line. Amazon's free shipping was also tempting. However, this bike is a major piece of equipment and very heavy. It was not packaged particularly well, and a couple of the plastic pieces were cracked (the rear stabilizer bar and the casing at the front of the bike). As the other reviewer stated, Diamondback simply does not respond to its customers. I contacted them several times through the only means they allow--an on-line form. They never responded. The bike is decent, but I have little confidence that I would be able to fix any problems I may run into since Diamondback is so unresponsive.
