 Good Shaver That Needs Improvement August 20, 2008
Having owned a Remington MS3-2700 for a few years, I recently purchased the recent version, the MS2-390, for my son's 18-year milestone. "Consumer Reports" gave this new one a "best buy" (they can't be right all the time). Both shavers are easy to hold, run for several days on a charge, and come with a case and cleaning brush. They give a good, close shave. The downside to the one I've owned before is that it requires screen replacement more often than one would expect. These replacements are needed when one feels irritation during and/or after shaving, and the user notices a small spot or spots where the screen is wearing away. It only takes these tiny open areas to cause a problem. The replacement screen costs around half the price of a new shaver, so in time the money involved can be substantial. If Remington could find a way to keep the screen deteriorating so soon, they would have a winner here. For now, rather than replace the screen again on my shaver, I have gone back to a safety razor and foam. It will be up to my son to do what he wants once his screen starts going bad.
 Not so close shave August 16, 2008
About the only thing I like about this razor is the battery charge seems to hold up quite well. I don't have a heavy beard, and would expect a fairly close shave, but I am left with what feels like a five o'clock shadow. Probably sould have spent the extra bucks and bought a Braun.

Cheap Remington electric razor August 12, 2008

Inexpensive Remington electric razor, functions well. High rated by "Consumers Reports". Good charging system. Only downside is the "dead man" switch. You must continue to hold/press "run" button down to use. I would prefer a continious-run off/on switch.

Excellent shaver. Holds a charge for at least a dozen shaves. Trimmer works well. Easy to clean.
