is this old shoe leather? September 2, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just had to try this product even though it has a negative customer rating. And boy is that rating ever right. This is the nastiest tasting stuff I have ever had, I do think it is a GREEN product though no not just the color but I think they are recycling old shoe leather for the beef taste part of the product. I think I will get rid of it when I have a bunch of the guys over and get em really drunk maybe they will eat this junk then. Do yourself a favor and avoid this stuff like the plague its really NASTY stuff.
Even My Dogs Wouldn't Eat It October 17, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I ordered this product but received something different. I received sometype of jerky sticks that were dry, tasted like straw and did not have the taste of teriyaki but was a bit peppery. Unfortunately, the way the item was rolled up and stapled shut inside the container, one could not tell that it was not strips. After cutting the package open and unrolling it, then it was obvious that the item was not in strip form, even though the label claimed that it was. I was not able to return the item because of the policy, that once the item was opened, it could not be returned. I had bought this item to serve at a party. When my guests and I had some, we all had the same reaction-"this is gross, awful, tastes like straw". Not one person took more than a few bites before their sticks went ino the garbage. I even tried to feed it to my dogs. I have four of them. Two wouldn't even try it and the other two spit it out. Needless to say, I was very unhappy that the return policy made it so I coouldn't get the product replaced - so that I could get what I paid for. I was even more upset, at the fact, that what was sent was awful. over 20 sticks went inhto the garbage. I am on a limited income and this was something special. I am a big fan of King B jerky, especially the kind that came in the big mega bags that they no longer make. It was not a ripple jerky, just plain teriyaki beef jerky!
