TP-aide for handicapped persons April 12, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Due to a herniated disc my mobility is limited and I have problems cleaning my bottom after a bowel movement. I first built my own, improvised device from a wire clothes hanger, which worked, but was inconvenient to use. With an Internet search I discovered a few commercial devices, one of which was the "Bottom Buddy". It took some practice using the device, but then it performs quite well. I am using 2-ply toilet paper and fold over two squares. One has to learn to insert the square into the slots of the flexible head. Inserted to deep, it does not release properly. To completely clean my bottom usually takes 6 - 7 TP double-squares. I can recommend the device. It is not perfect, but it appears to be the best device of this kind available commercially. A Life-Saver January 14, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This product has been a life-saver because of my back problems. It works better than any similar product which I have tried. I have owned 2 of these, and both of them broke about halfway down the handle after about 9 months of regular use. I still consider it to be worth the purchase though, and I will continue to replace them as needed.
Very useful item!! November 21, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I am struggling with back issues and this product has been a life saver on the days when I am in a lot of pain. I like the contoured shape as well as the release feature; it doesn't always release, but I have figured out not to push too much paper into it first. It is a comfortable product for such a task.
