My mother has a lift recliner and we purchased the EZ Seat Portable Lift Chair for another place in her house. She says the EZ Seat is even easier to get out of than her lift recliner. The seat raises high enough so that there is little or no lifting required from her legs or from her upper body. The EZ Seat Portable Lift Chair is comfortable and affordable. She rates it 10 out of 10!
 Good chair but broken switch. July 16, 2007

This chair was just what we were looking for. Mom is 93 and has had a hip replacement. She finds it quite comfortable. Unfortunately, the switch was broken when we received it. When we contacted the seller we were told to contact the manufacturer. I would have preferred that the seller do that for us as a part of good customer service. Of course, these days "good customer service" seems to be an oxymoron. I would say, "get the chair but be prepared".
