4 out of 5 stars Very good for the price   August 9, 2008
Hard to beat this price and I was impressed with how well-built and sturdy the tower was. Lots of exercise options. Just be aware that this equipment is very tall - it barely fits in my house!

5 out of 5 stars Durable, and Easy to Install   August 8, 2008
I purchased this product based on the community reviews, and I can honestly say the reviews will not steer you wrong.

The box arrived, and it was quite heavy, I'm glad it was delivered because lifting it in and out of my trunk and then carrying it upstairs to my apartment would've been quite a hassle.

Needless to say, it was conveniently shipped. The installation instructions were simple and very easy to understand, mixing a graphical representation along with step by step instructions in English.

I was able to easily install the unit by myself without any assistance for any other individuals and was good to go.

I weigh 185 lbs and it supports my weight well. If I get a little bit aggressive, it might rise up a tad bit, but that due to my poor form rather than a poor product.

And this is a nice quality product, extremely sturdy materials that you'd have to be a maniac to be able to bend or deface. The back and arm pads are also nicely made and double stitched. This will definitely outlive my current dwelling and at the low price, I'll likely leave it behind and buy another instead of moving.

Bottom line, truly surprised at the quality and durability of this product.

4 out of 5 stars Worth the Price   July 31, 2008
It isn't the highest quality product, but it was easy to put together and it works wonderfully for what I wanted.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic, great purchase   July 25, 2008
I just got mine in the mail about 2 hrs ago. It took me about an hour to put it together and then I was ready to start doing pull-ups and dips in the comfort of my own home! It's a great piece of equipment. Sturdy, and you don't have to ruin your walls or ceilings to have a pull-up bar at home. I'm very glad I bought it!

3 out of 5 stars A decent piece of equipment   July 24, 2008
This is an okay piece of gym equipment...I'd even say it's a good piece of equipment considering the price. However, there are a few issues I've run into that have reduced its usefulness:

- The beams that hold the pullup bar in place connect with the bar at about shoulder width, which is the ideal grip for pullups. It forces you to go narrower or wider. This isn't a huge issue (you can still get great pullups), but it's a bit annoying.
- Balance is off slightly...Doing pullups in anything other than very slow, controlled motions causes the tower to tip slightly. Haven't had it fall yet, but I've been taking it easy. Again, this isn't a big problem, since you can get lots of benefits from slow, strict pullups.
- The dip handles are a bit wide...Because they aren't angled at all, they may fit some people perfectly, but everyone else will have to deal with less than ideal width on their dips (which could lead to shoulder issues). Going slow and not overdoing dips if the width is too wide helps solve this issue.
- The pushup handles are useless. Honestly, I'm not even sure why they included them. If you try to do pushups on them, you've got a couple of inches you can move before your head hits a support beam.

Besides those issues, it is a good piece of equipment. I feel safe putting my weight on it (180lbs), and I can get a great workout.
